2 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

He called you where? Out of darkness! And because He has called you out of darkness, as a child of God stop majoring in minor things of life and start majoring in major. He has called us a royal priesthood…a Holy nation! You know what power you have when you’re called “His own special people?”. He wants to show you. What do you think about when you get ready to see a movie? You have an expectation to see something spectacular! In fact, your expectation is so strong, that you anticipate this one will be better than the last! God will make the next move in your life will be bigger and better than the last when you keep Him first! You are a royal priesthood, so act like it!

In Genesis Adam should have stuck with his major, which was his creator; his major was never Eve. Eve was Gods choice for his minor. The story of Adam and Eve should teach us to never make minor things major, and never minimize major things to minor. This greatly affects his relationship with God because major things are supposed to have a greater influence in life than minor. Major for Adam was spoken in Genesis 1:26. It was to have dominion over all living things, be fruitful, and to multiply. Minor was to never eat the forbidden fruit and disobey God’s commandments. When we start doing minor in major, it deviates us from our purpose in life and separates us from the will of The Father. You know it because when major came back to look for him, Adam was hiding. And he was hiding why? Because he made his minor greater than his purpose, opposed to what was predestined for him to for the major things.  The curse of disobedience was inflicted, and created a cycle that would pass down generations as a result of the roles (major and minor) misplaced.

We see the effects of this today. Men were created to play the major role as father, protector, provider, and the core of the family. Women were created to be the nurturer, caregiver, and the balance of the man. Often, you will see the women bitter, and you will see the men mad. She trying to do a role that she was never created to do, and the man not fulfilling his purpose as the foundation of his home. This makes each person powerless because you cannot get any peace or fulfillment of doing something you weren’t called to do!

If you stick to the blueprint and plan God has given you for your life, you will never go wrong. Yes, it’s nice to have money, cars, nice clothes, and materialistic things. But, at the end of the day it’s all vanity. Wouldn’t you like God to give you something more valuable? Well if you stay majoring in major…he’ll bless you with major peace, major health, major relationships, major love, and major happiness, for this is the most satisfying in life. Until next time my friend, be blessed.
