Picture this, a single mother of 4 coming home from a long day of work. She’s tired but her duties are not done. There’s 4 children at home waiting for her love, attention and care. Although she’s tired she puts her best foot forward and caters to them because she loves them. One of the children has a different kind of love for his mother, an honorable love. He’s the one who makes sure all her needs are met when she gets home. He has a servant’s heart, a heart that is fueled by taking care of others including his mother. This child learned honor at a very early age because he understood the importance of His mother’s sacrifice.
Today I ask you, do you understand the importance of your sacrifice unto God? Deuteronomy 5:16 tells us to
16 ‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. ? The bible says the Lord will bless you with longevity and long life when you honor your parents. It is imperative that we understand our blessings are connected to our sacrifice of honor.
Did you know when you honor it causes you to walk into the greatest miracles of your life? God understands if you can’t honor your parents then you can’t honor Him. How can you honor someone you can’t see without honoring who you can see? When God commands us to honor our parents, He is positioning us to honor Him.
I want you to get this because honor makes room for you. It blesses you and your household. It will put you in the company of great men and women. I’m so excited for you because today is a new day in your life! As you participate in the principle of Deuteronomy 5:16, your life will never be the same.
I want you to decree and declare these blessings with me:
It is a new season. It is a new day. It is a fresh start. It is a new beginning. Lord, make me over again. Refresh me, reboot me, and renew me in Jesus name. I am the head and not the tail. I am on top and not beneath. I am blessed going in and I am blessed coming out. Wherever the soles of my feet shall tread shall be blessed territory and God shall favor me in every area of my life. I am blessed beyond measure. I speak it and I declare it. The Heavens are open over my head and God is pouring out blessings I don’t have room enough to receive! Lord, I thank you. In Jesus name.
That’s a good place to praise Him! Stand tall, stand strong, and remember we walk by faith and not by sight.
Until next time my friend,
